PODCAST: Sending a Climate Change Skeptic to Space

In the following podcast interview, Cam Walker of Friends of Earth Australia discusses a new PR campaign that aims to raise awareness about climate change, and how many political leaders fall into the “climate change denier” category.

In a bid to persuade today’s influential decision-makers to take better care of our planet, Friends of the Earth Australia has launched a highly creative PR campaign, which aims to send an influential climate change denier to outer space.

The goal is to shift this person’s perspective, and have them come back down to earth a more environmentally ethical person. The concept behind this is that when astronauts travel to space they get to see the Earth from a far more majestic perspective.

Please check out the campaign’s landing page here, and you can actually help fund this effort here. $250,000 is required for sending a climate change denier to space, so plenty of support will be required.

In addition, you can voice your nomination via Twitter using the hashtag: #SendAScepticToSpace.

Speaking of the majesty of Earth, please visit one of these registrars to secure your new .earth domain.

Some Dude on the Interwebs says:

It has been shown already that anthropogenic climate change is a thing.
There is a cornucopia of peer-reviewed research that shows it unequivocally.

    Why bother at all?
