In order to preserve our planet, we must rethink our current economic models. As such, we need to develop a circular and regenerative economy, which is a viable system that preserves and replenishes natural capital by optimizing the capture, reuse, and the recycling of resources to restore nature.
This is the vision behind CycleEffect.Earth, which aims to restore the planet’s biological and social systems to a healthy and balanced state. It involves a new venture capital paradigm that invests in companies that build new tokenized systems for measuring climate impact to regenerative agriculture to the manufacturing of holistic fibers for clothing, and much more.
CycleEffect.Earth serves as the administrative manager of the flagship investment fund called Regenerative Ventures Holdings, where its members receive a share in the returns of the fund based on patronage contributed to the cooperative.
Since the organization is highly mission driven towards fostering a regenerative economy, the use of a .Earth domain fit right into this effort.
“It was very natural for us to use a .Earth domain,” said David. “It’s very aligned with our mission, what we do, what we care about, and the future which we believe is important. In many ways, .Earth makes much more sense for us than .com or .co.”
