Traditional human burials have created a global crisis where the overpopulation of gravesites has become a rising issue, and points to the need for bio-friendly alternative solutions.

Biotree.Earth is addressing these pressing needs by creating solutions that are both Earth-friendly, and help us re-think how best to handle the passing of life. Its biodegradable urns – for both humans and pets – creates a living memorial, in the form of a tree. Each Biotree Urn produces an average of 117kgs of oxygen and reduces carbon dioxide production by about 21kgs per year when the tree is fully grown.

In addition, Chris and his team chose to use a .Earth domain name because it perfectly fits the company’s brand.

“The .Earth domain was a naturally the correct fit for the brand and the business – from the word go,” said Cillier. “In fact, we were one of the first users of the .Earth domain, and we have had many of our customers and followers comment about the domain name, which I think is great.”
